Sculpture
Yeah, okay....it's not exactly Parisian art. It's also not the Gloucester Fisherman in Massachusetts. But it does depict our little fishing village here on the island. I'm not sure who the artist is, but no doubt it's a local. So he now graces what is being developed into our Sculpture Garden, next door to the Arts Center. The more I look at it....the more I like it. He's a true representation of our quirky Cedar Key.

THE DESIGNERS ARE CHICK AND MARSHA SCHWARTZ (CHICKSCHWARTZ.COM), AND MUCH OF THE WORK HAS BEEN DONE BY MEMBERS OF THE CEDAR KEY ARTS CENTER. THE SCULPURE IS A WORK IN PROGRESS, TO BE MOSTLY MOSAIC TILE.
THE FISHERMAN CASTS INTO A SEA OF MOSAIC FISH, EACH CREATED BY DIFFERENT ARTISTS FROM THIS ISLAND COMMUNITY.
